Adam was the Cypress Police Department’s tenth K-9. Adam’s true full name is Adam Nikolkina Radost.  He was born on April 8, 1999, in the eastern European country of Slovakia.  He was trained for over two years and earned several awards. Adam was imported from Slovakia in July 2001.

Adam  began his law enforcement career in July of 2001 with Officer Matt Timney.  Officer Timney and Adam worked together until September of 2002.  Officer Brian Eynon took possession of Adam from Officer Timney in September 2002 after Officer Timney was reassigned to another department position. Both Officer Eynon and Adam attended and graduated from the Basic K-9 Handlers’ Course at Adlerhorst International Inc. in September 2002.  Officer Eynon and Adam began working together as a K-9 Team in mid September 2002.

Officer Eynon and his partner, Adam completed a variety of tasks during their time together.  They assisted the SWAT Team, patrol officers, and other law enforcement agencies with numerous searches for dangerous criminals.  Officer Eynon and Adam also completed several community demonstrations displaying their unique qualities and skills.

Sadly, Adam was diagnosed with Addisons Disease in July 2005 and was retired from the Cypress Police Department.  Officer Eynon and Adam spent many years together fighting crime and serving the community.  Adam officially retired from the department and remained with his partner as a family pet.

On September 14, 2005, Adam succumbed to the devastating effects of Addisons Disease.  He peacefully passed away at home in his sleep.  He will be missed!
